* a week of R *

We had a lot of fun this week with the letter R. One day during lunch we listened to Rachmaninoff, one of my favorite composers. Another day we made all sorts of little creations using raisins as decorations. Here Maddie made a butterfly.

We even made Jonah and 'the pirates who don't do anything' in their boat.

We followed the advice of our verse this week and remembered some 'deeds of the Lord' by making a list. I felt like such a teacher again whippin' out the chart paper!
We practiced painting rainbows.

And we read about the story of the first rainbow in here.

We also read the story of Jericho, during which I taught them about Rahab and the red cord she tied to her house, how God saved her, and how she became a great great great...great grandma of Jesus.

R was one of our favorite weeks so far!
