The Duke has found a headlamp and is walking around with it shining on his head. A minute ago, he came to me (and I had to cover his headlamp with my hand just so I could look him in the eyes!) and suggested...

"Mommy, maybe sometime me and you and me...I mean, me and you and Daddy can go on a camp and Nonna & FaFa can watch Maisie and Maddie and Caleb. And me and you and Daddy can go on a camp. And I can wear this light and I can lead the way...except Daddy will be holding my hand so I don't get lost."

Me: Yes. Mommy and Daddy decided that we wanted to get married.

D: Can you decide if you don't want to get married?

Me: Yes. You get to decide. Only you decide if you want to get married or not. No one forces you to.

D: Well, when I grow up up I'm going to decide to get married so I can get a ring and I'm going to go to college!
