how to keep this pregnant wife happy...

A Sunday night Trader Joe's run before our movie...salami, pickles, goat cheese, romano, sundried tomatoes, olives, crackers, roasted pepper tapanade, hummus, and a big fresh pineapple!

maisie is so cute!

I was going through some recent photos I have taken of Maisie, and she is just so cute! My goodness!  This is one of my favorites.

maisie + friend

Back in January my friend Rebecca drove across the river to visit with her Caleb, who happens to be named Caleb and was born on Caleb's birthday--funny coincidence!

Maisie and Caleb played together...well, as much as babies do.  :)  Maisie is 2 months older, but Caleb outweighs her by about 6 pounds!  He is one big fellow, and as we know, Maisie is a dainty petite little thing.

maisie and pigtails

Something about the pigtails that looks so funny.  Not sure if it's that most 9 month olds don't have enough hair for pigtails--so it looks like two year old hair on a baby?  Or if it's just that it makes her face look so round and chubby?  Not sure, but she sure is cute.

names and history

Nana has been officially confirmed as a Daughter of the Revolution!   We've long known/suspected that she had Revolutionary War soldiers in her family line since her people in several lines have been here since the 1700s.  There were just always glitches in solidly proving the connections.  But at last they were able to piece together enough info to prove 3 soldiers as of now from just Nana's mother's line, though the DAR thinks there are definitely more and we would agree.  And of course all this means that I am also a DAR! There was a Roberts who was a soldier, and then there were a father-in-law and son-in-law who both fought from GA: John Knight III b.1748 and William Miles Hunter b.1762. Nana's mother was a Knight.

We haven't really gotten far with name ideas for Baby #4, so maybe as we piece together more of this family history, we'll get a good name or two out of it...we'll see.
