During our snowed-in time at home, Daddy helped Madeleine build a sugar cube castle as a part of her unit on Ireland.

Maddie's castle is very simple, corresponding with a few simple terms she is learning: a curtain wall, a bailey, a keep and a drawbridge. We plan to paint a moat around it and perhaps add a few more embellishments...we'll see.
