Granny's funeral, part two

Since the cemetary where Granny is buried is literally minutes from where Susie grew up, afterward we headed to Ft. Thomas, KY for a tour by Susie.  She showed us the house she spent most of her growing up years in.

While we were taking her picture, she looked across the street and saw what she thought just might be a familiar face...turned out to be one of the neighborhood kids she'd grown up with who now lived in the house he grew up in.  What were the chances?!  They got to talk about old times and lots of their old friends.

We saw Susie's highschool.

And we took pictures of Susie and Tom on the stairs out in front of the church building they were married in 45ish years ago.

Ft. Thomas is known as "the town of pretty houses" or something to that effect, and it's so true. Such quaint adorable houses!

The rest of the weekend was spent enjoying being together with extended family. It was good to see everyone.  Every now and then someone would throw out a fun memory or story about Granny, so there was a fair amount of remembering and laughter.
