Granny's funeral, part one.

Granny's funeral was held at Uncle Thad and Aunt Louise's church building in Ohio, and Uncle Thad officiated.  Braden helped a bit by sharing family remembrances of Granny, and Shawn sang a hymn.  Uncle Thad did a great job--he was so composed and wonderful truth from scripture flowed from his mouth.  Granny had previously chosen all the hymns to be sung by all of us there.

As we entered at the beginning, there was a slideshow of pictures of Granny with family.  As soon as Maddie saw that she just started sobbing.  She was a mess through most of the funeral service.  At the end as we were preparing to leave for the drive to the gravesite she said to me, "Mommy, I just can't stop crying."  But once we were in the car, she was able to and didn't cry anymore.  Caleb, on the other hand was just oblivious to the significance of death.  He sat in the back and out in the lobby with me and Maisie, and he enjoyed watching the slideshow and would comment on the pictures, and he liked hearing the family remembrances. 

Granny was buried about 45 minutes away, just over the border in KY, next to her husband Don and a few other family members.
