finalization

We recently had our third and last post-placement visit with our social worker.  Now our lawyer is filing for Maisie's adoption finalization.  The processing of the paperwork can take a couple months, so we're just waiting until we receive word from our lawyer that it's been processed.  Then our family will appear before a local judge, who will declare the adoption final, and we will receive a new birth certificate listing Braden and myself as Maisie's parents.  Then we'll throw a big party to celebrate!  :)
