Here's Maddie's first self-portrait. Up until now, Maddie has drawn pears (a few times since the original post) and a few letters, and Braden's face. Then today she drew a self-portrait.

Let's see if I can help you see 'Maddie,' as she described it to me. On the very top, you see hair, then a round circle for the face with the eyes inside. Below the face--yes I said below the face--is the nose and the mouth. There's some body down there, then 2 hands (they look kind of like mittens), then really long legs, and then as she put it, 'my little feet and my shoes and socks.'
