This is a post I've been wanting to do for a while. It started a couple months ago with Maddie deciding that she wanted to hold Caleb's hand in the car. Of course Caleb hated that, and every time we got in the car, Maddie would be desperately trying to grab Caleb's hand and hold on to it--reaching as far as possible within the confines of her carseat straps--and Caleb would be desperately trying to keep his hands as far away from Maddie as possible, within the confines of his carseat. Needless to say, every time we got into the car there were two very unhappy children! We worked with Maddie, showing her other things she could do that Caleb liked. Well, literally the first time Maddie FINALLY did not try to grab Caleb's hand, Caleb started fussing because HE wanted to hold her hand. Go figure! And so began their tradition of holding hands in the car. It really is so cute and such a sweet thing to see. For a while they did it every time we were in the car. Now it's about half and half. But I finally got a photo of it, and here it is! :) This is on the way to a harvest party, which would explain their clothes. However, it does not explain the 'deer in headlights' expressions on both their faces! :)
