As is often the case with me, I was flipping through a magazine and saw an idea, which triggered another idea...which became this year's Christmas thank you notes.
The kids gathered up their gifts from each family member, and we snapped a quick photo of them with their gifts. Each photo was printed and glued onto the appropriate card. It only took about 10 minutes, and I noticed it helped the kids remember who gave them their gifts and associate each gift with the giver.
Since they had a fair amount of notes to write, I had them dictate to me and then they signed their names on each card. 
Caleb, in particular, was having a lot of fun signing his name. Thus we have the many signatures of Bobe:Nice, Ultra-signaturey,
Curly, and Extra-large.
