Eastern Shore Vacation - Daddy Catches Fish!!!

One of the big hi-lights of vacation this year was that Braden caught fish!

He caught two one night, and then later on he and Garrick caught another three.

One night we had filets, and we had chowder twice.

Braden tried to roast one fish whole, but it just didn't work at all!  He's roasted whole fish before but I guess he did a few things different this time and it totally failed. Bummer.

He had stuffed it with oranges and cilantro and butter, and so we took the failed roast that was falling apart and used the meat for chowder, which was outstanding because of all those stuffings.

Pretty much every evening around dusk Braden would walk down to fish. We'd see schools of them go by.

The littles were in bed for the night by that point and the older kids and I and Nonna would go down and walk around.

I would shoot sunset pix and experiment with my camera.

Maddie and Caleb and Nonna would find frogs and crabs and all sorts of things.

The sun would set and up we'd go back to the house...although most nights Braden would stick it out for while hoping to catch a fish.
