I forgot to post this update on Maisie at 11 months, so I just tacked on 12 months too...
At 11 months, Maisie:
- is cutting her first tooth (bottom right)
- waves "hi" and "bye"
- if you're lucky, says "ba-ba" when she waves bye (her first word)
- can point to Mommy's nose
- signs "more" and "all done" at mealtime
- LOVES food and demands what we're eating--don't try to trick her, she's not buying it!
- is getting a double chin as a result
- really likes the breakfast "cake" I often make
- rolls and scoots all over the house (but still not crawling)
- sleeps 7pm-7am
- takes a 1.5 hr morning nap and a 2 hr afternoon nap
- still growls
- "talks" a lot
- knows what "no touch" means
- loves to be flipped, tossed in the air, hung upside down and tickled
And at ONE YEAR OLD, Maisie has added:
-five more teeth coming in (4 top, 2 bottom), 3 top ones cut on the same day
-two more words: "all done" at mealtime and "da-da"
-pointing to anyone's nose and head
-army crawling and getting into trouble in her explorations
-giving us things she picks up off the floor (most of the time)
-pushing up into a crawling position
-a definite silly side to her personality

...and Maisie has dropped one of her naps half the time, leaving her at that difficult in-between stage many days of being really tired and cranky in the afternoon but just not tired enough to sleep.
She weighs 16.5 lbs (3rd%).
She is 27" tall (5th%).
Her head remains at 50th%.
Maisie continues to be a mostly easy, happy baby girl!
