Christmas Nature Craft

For preschool one morning after Thanksgiving, Maisie and Duke went on a nature walk with Mommy and collected bits of nature that interested them. Then we came home, glued them on bright red paper to help get us in the Christmas mood!

Meanwhile, Maddie and Caleb went to work on their nativities to bring to their CC (homeschool co-op) Christmas party. I gave them one "rule" - you must use nature on your nativity. Maddie already had a bazillion ideas, but that was the push Caleb needed. And then he created a masterpiece. They both did, really. I was so proud of their creativity!! They worked for a whole week on these beauties and we left them out all of December.

Maddie and Caleb said if they had combined forces and used Caleb's stable with Maddie's people and animals, it would have been "the best nativity ever!!!"
