Eight forty-nine!
Ask Maisie the time and she rattles off: "Eight fohdee-ni!" (Or sometimes "four eighty-nine.") But it's been the same time around here for weeks now. Most of the time she runs to the kitchen and checks the stove clock just to be sure, then let's us know that (once again) it's "eight forty-nine."
